Dear Michael
No one will ever love you. You, in fact, make me sick. My tender juicy deliciousness is too good for you. You deserve nothing better than a McDouble without cheese. Without cheese. You left me in Dallas all alone. I'm here while you're in Cincinnati enjoying cheap drive through burgers. I hope you enjoy your cheap thrills while they last, because you'll miss me when the thrill wears off. I hope your short, stalky body becomes fat and tubby. Maybe you'll have a cardiac episode at a young age and die.

My Love
Dear Secret Love,
I love you. I love your sparkling personality, stunning good looks, and masculine physique. I even love your large head and physically disabled shoulder. Your blue eyes sparkle in the sunlight like crystals. I don't even care about your twisted past that's filled with angry outbursts involving throwing furniture into school pools. I know your cruel words and actions are your way of showing your feelings for me. You are my night and day. I'll be your sling, baby.

Macbeth
I was not at all excited about reading Macbeth when it was first introduced. Shakespeare seems to dreaded by all high school English students. But it is not what I had expected. I do not love it, but reading Macbeth is not as bad as I had thought it would be. I do not think the story is too gruesome or violent. In fact, I think these elements make it a more interesting read. The language is a little confusing, but I understand most of it. Re-reading is a must, but it usually ends up making sense. I think I would have a lot more trouble reading Macbeth if I read it outside of school. Having others around to help me understand the literature makes it much easier. I am enjoying Macbeth so far, and hopefully it stays that way.

Canterbury Cathedral
The Canterbury Cathedral is rich with history. Its history dates back as far as 597 A.D. Archbishop Augustine built the cathedral, and was the first archbishop of Canterbury. It was used as a monastery for Benedictine monks until it was closed by King Henry VIII. The building was almost completely rebuilt by the Normans after a large fire in 1070. In 1170, Thomas Becket was murdered in the cathedral. It has been very popular among pilgrims, and is the center for Geoffrey Chaucer's "Canterbury Tales". Over the years, it has been damaged and rebuilt many times. Few parts of the original building remain.

My Writing
Writing has never been one of my strengths. I've always had issues putting my thoughts into coherent sentences. This was especially true freshman year. My papers often didn't flow very well, and this always bothered me. All the rules of formal writing gave me issues too. Now I feel like I have a better understanding of MLA format. This has made writing a little less intimidating. I still have problems getting my thoughts on to paper. I know what I'm trying to say, but it is hard for me to say it in such a way that the reader can grasp my thoughts. Nothing is more frustrating than spending time trying to get your point across, then realizing you have stated the same idea over and over again in an attempt to explain your view. If I have a good idea, I want to express it in the best way possible. Hopefully I can overcome this struggle and become a better writer.

My Hero
I have had some trouble trying to think of who I would consider my hero. But when I really think about it, my dad is definitely my hero. This is probably common among boys my age. I've looked up to my dad all of my life. It is easy to overlook parents when trying to pick a hero. But my dad has always been a great role model. He has taught me many things, from responsibility to how to change engine oil. He made sure I grew up with the right values and morals. My dad has taught me that if one is willing to work hard, one is capable of great things. My dad was one of the oldest children in his family. He has ten siblings. Obviously, this means he did not have anything handed to him when he was growing up. He learned that he needed to work long and hard to achieve his goals. I feel like my dad has made sure I understand the value of persistence and the importance of working hard. Shortcuts are not an option. Also, my dad is always willing to help others. He is frequently helping neighbors, friends, or family with electrical issues around the home. I hope all of my dad's good traits are passed on to me. Superman, Spiderman, and Batman are all great heroes. But there is one thing that sets my dad apart. He is real.
